Half Empty or Half Full? The JCIE Papers

Private, intensive bilateral discussions and deliberations between Japanese and Europeans in the "Hakone" Conferences began in 1975. Questions concerned with realizing the full potential of the cooperation between Japan and Europe inspired the agenda of the Eighth Hakone Conference in Berlin in May 1986. This book details the proceedings of that conference.
