East Asia Insights
East Asia Insights, an occasional policy brief, was launched by JCIE in January 2006 in order to report on the community building process in East Asia and share perspectives on critical regional issues and challenges. Over the past several years, economic interdependence has increased in East Asia and people around the region are facing a growing number of common concerns, such as environmental degradation, communicable diseases, and other nontraditional security threats. This newsletter is published as part of the Asia Pacific Agenda Project (APAP) and it is designed to promote greater dialogue on the long-term evolution of the region, the emergence of East Asia community, and other critical issues facing East Asia.
