概　要

国際社会でエイズがグローバルな課題として認識され、各国が一丸となってエイ ズ対策に資金と技術を集中させようとする気運が高まっているが、日本のエイズへの取り組みとその課題については、海外の政策関係者に対し包括的に説明する英文文献資料が存在していなかった。本報告書は、米国のオープン・ソサエティ・イン スティテュートの委託を得て、国内のHIVエイズ感染動向、政府の国内エイズ対策と対外援助政策、NGOや民間財団の取り組み、メディアや経済界の認識など、 日本が官民双方のレベルでエイズに対しどのような取り組みをしているかについて現状を調査し英文でまとめたものである。
