China-Japan-U.S. Research and Dialogue Project
Yokohama Workshop
October 12–13, 2000
The fifth workshop was held in Yokohama on October 12-13, 2000, bringing an end to the first five-year phase of the project. The meeting brought together senior project members and the successor generation study groups. Other leading intellectual figures from the three countries were also invited to the conference to discuss the evolution of the trilateral relationship over the previous five years. Discussion on domestic and international political, social, economic, and security issues highlighted the major changes that had occurred during the course of the project and examined implications significant to trilateral relations.
