14th Forum: Shanghai
Growing Asia-Pacific Regionalism and New Opportunities to Advance Non-traditional Security Cooperation
November 16–17, 2008
The 14th APAP Forum was held in Shanghai on November 16–17, 2008. The forum was divided into sessions covering four non-traditional security themes that are especially relevant to security cooperation in the Asian Pacific region, including maritime security, international terrorism, peacebuilding, and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Over two dozen experts participated in the program, which provided the four paper writers with an opportunity to received feedback on their paper drafts. The 14th Forum was organized as part of the APAP program on "Growing Asia-Pacific Regionalism and New Opportunities to Advance Non-traditional Security Cooperation."
